Mr. Swift suggested that if Mr. Sanchez and other parties are intere ted in a footbridge, the issue could be looked at again as a part of the General Plan update. He said there are a number of ways that a footbridge could be built, but a road would b much harder and more expensive. He did not wish to say that these things could be done, ut he felt that it is possible with a General Plan change. Commissioner Michelotti told Mr. Sanchez she thought his idea was a good one and encouraged him to follow up on his efforts to procure a footbridge; owever, she also remembered that when it was discussed at the PUD stage there wer a number of people opposed to the idea. Commissioner Mahern also reminded Mr. Sanchez that it has been e history of the Meadows' residents not to want a through street on Martin Avenue. The Commission's consensus was that a footbridge over Martin Ave ue was a very logical idea. Mr. Bartelson noted that a road going through to Martin Avenue or footbridge was a very sore topic with a number of people. He stated they had researched e cost of a clear span bridge over Martin Avenue and it had been estimated at over a milli n dollars. However, a review of the General Plan might accomplish something. ~ THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. Commissioner Finch stated he still did not think off-street parking is adequate for the project. He said he thought it would be the same problem that is experienced at the Belvedere project. He would not favor more sidewalks on the project, especial y as that would further decrease parking space. He felt the project was attractive, but woul not favor any more concrete so that the rural atmosphere is kept as much as possible. Commissioner Mahern again reminded Commissioner Finch that no ing could be done about the parking situation at this time. A motion was made by Commi"Sioner Wright, seconded by Co . ioner Finch making the required tentative map findings for the proposed subdivision listed in the staff report; and approving Vesting Tentative Tract 6593, subject to t e conditions listed in Exhibit "B", along with the revised conditions as read by Mr. Sw ft.
