<br />~ JU;VJSIONS AND OMISSIONS TO ]JJE AG~ <br /> <br />Mr. Swift requested that GP-92-06, Kaiser Center for Technology; -92-4, City of <br />Pleasanton; and RZ-92-5, City of Pleasanton; be continued to 12/9/9 . The Commission <br />agreed to this request. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br /> <br />TED BY <br /> <br /> <br />1. Commissioner Wright called staffs attention to a situation at the afeway store on Santa <br />Rita Road, noting that they have the trees so far out that the front ro of parking is blocked. <br />He inquired as to whether this is really legal. Mr. Swift replied that 's happens every <br />year, but since it only affects a few days of the month that it has bee allowed. He stated <br />that staff could talk to the store manager if the Commission desired. <br />2. Commissioner Finch called staffs attention to a concrete drainag <br />Boulevard on the left side of the road going northward. He noted th <br />the hill where the ditch comes down and that the ditch is badly crac <br />concern that when the rains come that it will not drain properly. Vice Chairman McGuirk called attention to a traffic situation at e Pleasanton Middle <br />School where most of the curbs are painted red. He noted that since the school bus no <br />longer runs that traffic jams occur as parents drop off or pick up the' children. He <br />wondered whether the red curbs were an absolute necessity at this nt or whether <br />something might be done to alleviate the traffic jam situation. Mr. "gdon replied that he <br />would check into the matter. <br /> <br />s.. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />Item 5.a. UP-92-49. James E. Butts <br />Application for a conditional use permit to operate a landscape c ntractor's equipment <br />storage yard and offices located at 3768 Old Santa Rita Road. Z ning for the property <br />is C-S (Commercial Service) District. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift presented the staff report recommending approval of Case UP-92-49 subject to the <br />conditions of the staff report. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright questioned staff about the time frame in whic the sidewalk would be <br />completed. Mr. Swift replied that it has been a requirement of indi idual users as occupation <br />has taken place, but at a certain point it will be more appropriate to imply fmish off the <br />entire sidewalk. He noted that will probably not be done until seve more approved <br />projects are built. <br /> <br />Vice Chairman McGuirk asked if the conditions of approval require the applicant to make the <br />sidewalk improvements if he decides to locate permanently.
