The Commission agreed to this request. <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Commissioner Finch called staffs attention to an area on the south est comer of Bernal <br />Avenue and Stanley Boulevard where two sewer culverts have been stored for over a year. <br />In addition, the area has not been maintained, nor does it have any andscaping, as he <br />thought it was conditioned to do. Mr. Swift said some trees have b n planted on the slope <br />bank, but until the lot that has frontage on the street is developed, tuallandscaping will not <br />be installed. He said he would check into the culvert issue and wil report back to <br />Commissioner Finch. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk asked whether any action has taken place i regard to the trailer/sign <br />at Cost Plus. Mr. Swift replied that the application was addressed t last night's Design <br />Review meeting but he was not sure of the outcome. He indicated e would report at the <br />next meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk called attention to the building just vaca by Simon's in the Rose <br />Pavilion and noted that the space left by the removed signage is u ttractive. He wondered <br />what the process might be to correct that. Mr. Swift said there is 0 process to take care of <br />that situation. Ordinarily, the signs have to be removed in a certai <br />business goes out. However, he would have staff check on the <br /> <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh asked if the Commission could appeal the decis on regarding Cost Plus if <br />they did not like the outcome of that meeting. Mr. Swift advised ey would have 15 days in <br />which to appeal the decision, should they choose to do so. <br /> <br />Commissioner Michelotti called attention to a traffic area from M hr Avenue to Valley <br />Avenue via Kolin Street which goes all the way through. She in' ted the residents in that <br />area are complaining about people cutting through there to avoid e stop lights. She asked <br />if there had been any meetings in regard to this. Mr. Higdon sta there had been no <br />meetings on this matter. Mr. Swift noted that the Council has es blished a three-way stop <br />sign at Morganfield Street and Kolin.
