Michael Goldsworthy. 633 Abbie Street, represented the application the architect. He stated they have gone through the Design Review process which was nanimously approved; they have had two neighborhood meetings and tried to address all th comments and concerns of the neighbors. He briefly reviewed the plan on the bulletin board noting that the plan is comparable to the single-family homes in the area. He felt the staff eport covers all the elements of the plan very well. He also noted that some Rotary Clu members are available to answer any questions. He concurred with all the Conditions of A proval. Commissioner McGuirk referred to the floor plans and commented a door leading from the garage into the house. Ms. Bacon also felt that the wildlife habitat that comes to the drain e channel will be endangered and they will not come anymore. She felt that the Call an project on the comer of Palomino, and Kottinger to the south was already making too m ch noise. She was opposed to having another six months of construction noise and di and felt this would further make the wildlife habitat leave. She also felt that these two story homes would tower over the existing homes. She concluded her remarks by stating tha she would like to see the City help the Rotary Club find another site for the project. She ap reciated the fact that the Rotary Club was trying to provide affordable housing but did not ink seven houses would make that much difference anyway. Elaine Walsh, 756 Concord, also expressed opposition to the proj t. She stated that she is a "NIMBY" person and would prefer either a park on that location 0 it be left vacant. She noted that the neighborhood favors a park on that site. She expres ed concern that her property which she purchased for around $300,000 will be devalu if homes in the high $lOO,ooo's are built there. She was also opposed to the possibili of someone being able to see into her house and bedroom. She said she realized that the pI had been changed somewhat to protect her privacy but she was still concerned. She so felt the wildlife would be endangered and was opposed to that. She felt there was alread too high a density in the area, particularly with the construction on Palomino and Bernal, w ich she felt was huge.
