The applicant responded that parti ular day may have been <br />unusual; since that time they have purchased a new chippillg machi e. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk referred to several lines in Conditions G.1 and H.1 and asked staff <br />why they were scratched out. Mr. Swift replied that these lines we found to be repetitive <br />in the Conditions and not necessary. He further pointed out Condi on 1 takes care of the <br />situation. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright referred to page 2, Condition 5 and question Mr. Swift as to how <br />often inspections of the site will take place. Mr. Swift stated regul tion of the transfer <br />station is primarily done by the Alameda County Department of H th who go out <br />frequently to the site to inspect. The City is in contact with the De artment of Health, and <br />should the facility not be complying with the Conditions of Approv ,then their conditional <br />use permit can be revoked and they would have to appear again be re the Planning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk called attention to a letter from Kaiser San and Gravel requesting <br />that the Commission consider the long-term use of the land for the onditional use permit. <br />Mr. Swift explained that although Kaiser is presently mining adjac t to the transfer facility, <br />in the long run, they consider the site to be more appropriate as a sidential site. He noted <br />the City will be looking at the Kaiser property sometime in the fu reo He further <br />commented he did not think the immediate neighborhood adjacent t the transfer station <br />would be residential in the future, but there was a possibility it cou d be farther east. <br /> <br />Chairman Hovingh noted for the record that he spoke to Mr. Inde itzen earlier this week. <br />He asked whether PGS owns the land the transfer station is located on.
