Oak Tree Farm/Currin Construction <br />Application for planned unit development approval to permit th construction of 69 <br />single-family custom homes on an approximately 91 acre site I ted on the west side of <br />Foothill Road, south of Castlewood Country Club at 8015 Foo . Road. Zoning for the <br />property is PUD (planned Unit Development) - Rural Density R idential/Low Density <br />Residential District. <br /> <br />Mr. Swift gave an update on the staff report recommending approv of Case PUD-89-17 <br />subject to the conditions of the staff report. He noted that the Co mission had approved the <br />SEIR at the February 12 meeting. He further noted that staff has epared two versions of a <br />51 lot plan and those plans were displayed on the bulletin board. thryn Watt and Roger <br />Higdon were also available for questions. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk requested that the maps be labeled as Plan A and Plan B. <br /> <br />Letters from Richard Howard, Charlotte Himsl, and Robert Duyn ere also presented to the <br />Commission tonight. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br /> <br />Jack Smith, 23320 Foothill Boulevard, Hayward, attorney for the roject, represented the <br />application. He stated that he has viewed the two plans as presen by staff and even <br />though they appear to be feasible, he firids them unacceptable. Th y are consistent with <br />what staff has been considering; however, the applicant prefers tha more lots be allowed. <br /> <br />Commissioner McGuirk questioned Mr. Dommer as to how many ots the applicant is <br />favoring. Mr. Dommer stated that the applicant feels 66 lots woul be appropriate. He <br />further explained the plan, and thought they could vary the setbac from 70 to 135 ft. <br /> <br /> <br />Jerry Dommer, architect, 256 Sutter Street, San Francisco, also r <br /> <br />Commissioner Horan queried as to why the architect had dropped <br />end. Mr. Dommer replied that the neighbors had some concerns <br />appeared to be too small. <br /> <br /> <br />e lots from the north <br />out those lots in that they <br /> <br />~ <br /> <br />Commissioner Horan stated that he is not as concerned about adhe . g to the 51 lot concept <br />for the project as with the concern that they are not abiding by th West Foothill Road <br />Corridor Overlay District guidelines.
