Approve the attached Sale and Purchase Agreement (Attachment B) <br /> with Janice and Gary Duclair and authorize the City Manager to execute <br /> documents related to this acquisition. <br /> <br /> 2. Authorize staff to prepare a recommendation regarding the future use <br /> of this property. <br /> <br /> 3. Authorize a transfer of post 1998 In Lieu Park Dedication fees from <br /> the South Pleasanton Park Site Acquisition Reserve CIP project <br /> (CIP 017042) to cover the costs related to this transaction. <br /> <br />SUMMARY Janice and Gary Duclair recently informed the City of their intention to sell <br /> their property at 4254 Vervais. Because this property is critical to the <br /> improvements included in the Downtown Parks and Trails Master Plan and <br /> the Downtown Specific Plan, the Council authorized the City Manager to <br /> negotiate a purchase of the property. A Sale and Purchase Agreement has <br /> been negotiated and staff is recommending approval of this Agreement and <br /> authorization to begin the planning process for this site. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />Janice and Robert Duclair own a 1726 sq. ft. residence, garage and storage building on a 13,461 <br />sq. ft. lot located at 4254 Vervais Avenue (Attachment A). The property is designated Park in <br />the General Plan and in the Downtown Specific Plan which reflects Downtown Parks and Trails <br /> <br />SR 05:133 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
