Commissioner Roberts requested that language be added to the last bullet item of the first <br />paragraph on page 9 stating that Mr. O'Callaghan indicated that the acquisition of the <br />former Kolln Hardware Store was in process. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fox requested that the following sentence be added before paragraph 3 on <br />page 5: "Commissioner Fox liked the design guidelines, but indicated that the review <br />t~rocess should stay the same, such that each custom home should be subject to a <br />Planning Commission hearing." <br /> <br /> Commissioner Blank complimented staff on doing an excellent job in reconstructing the <br /> events of the March 9, 2005 meeting in the absence of an audiotape. <br /> <br />The minutes were approved as corrected. <br /> <br />b. March 23, 2005. <br /> <br />THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED. <br /> <br />Vanessa Kawaihu, 871 Sycamore Road, advised that the fourth sentence of the second <br />paragraph on page 4, should be changed to read, She added that in 2003 ~ an~ the City <br />Attorney..." <br /> <br /> THE PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br /> Ms. Decker advised that staff received correspondence from Ed McGovern, which was <br /> forwarded to the Commissioners, requesting a correction to the March 23, 2005 minutes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Fox advised that the fifth sentence of the sixth paragraph on page 6 should <br />be changed to read as follows: "She believed that impacts on public services, <br />particularly in fire station type of services, should be investigated...." She was <br />concerned about emergency access stemming from the changed alignment of the Bypass <br />Road. <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fox advised that the first sentence on page 7 should be changed to read as <br /> follows: "She believed the impact ~n ,~'ti!!t!:: of nitrates in the water should be <br /> investigated." <br /> <br /> Commissioner Fox advised that the fourth sentence on page 7 should be changed to read <br /> as follows: "She believed there would be visual impacts from the golf course (and, in <br /> addition, from the clubhouse) the adjacent residents, and the City as a whole." <br /> <br /> Commissioner Roberts advised that the tenth sentence of the third paragraph on page 6 <br /> should be changed to read as follows: "She inquired whether the density on the lower <br /> Spotorno flat adhered to any definition of semi-rural and was concerned about the lower <br /> density of the golf course homes in relation to the Spotorno medium-density homes, <br /> including fiscal impacts." <br /> <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES April 7, 2005 Page 2 of 16 <br /> <br /> <br />
