GHAD <br /> THE OF <br /> <br />pLti AS NTON cou. i, <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> May 17, 2005 <br /> Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: ANNUAL ASSESSMENTS FOR THE GEOLOGIC HAZARD <br /> ABATEMENT DISTRICT (GHAD) FOR OAK TREE FARM, <br /> TRACT 6563 AND TRACT 6748; MOLLER RANCH, TRACT 6618; <br /> LAUREL CREEK ESTATES (THE PRESERVE, OAK HILL <br /> ESTATES, AND KOLB RANCH ESTATES), TRACT 6400, TRACT <br /> 6590, TRACT 7045, AND TRACT 6951; AND LEMOINE RANCH <br /> ESTATES, TRACT 7176 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br /> meeting of May 17, 2005: <br /> <br /> 1. Convene as the Board of Directors for the Oak Tree Farm, Moller <br /> Ranch, Laurel Creek Estates (The Preserve, Oak Hill Estates and <br /> Kolb Ranch Estates) and Lemoine Ranch Estates Geologic Hazard <br /> Abatement Districts. <br /> <br /> 2. Adopt a resolution approving the Engineer's Reports for the subject <br /> GHADs and approving and declaring the Board's intentions to assess <br /> the properties within the GHADs for the costs to maintain and <br /> operate the GHADs. <br /> <br /> 3. Set June 21, 2005, as the date of the public hearings for the Board to <br /> hear protests concerning the proposed assessments. <br /> <br /> 4. Direct the Clerk of the District to mail a notice of the public hearings <br /> to the owners of real property located in the Geologic Hazard <br /> Abatement Districts. <br /> <br />SR:05:127 <br />Page 1 of 32 <br /> <br /> <br />
