<br />The Council of the Town of Pleasanton do ordain as follows:
<br />SECTION l: That a certain doc~ent, three (3) copies of which
<br />are on file in the office of the Tou Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton,
<br />being marked and designated as "Unifom Building Code, 1940 Edition,
<br />published May 1, 1940, by Pacific Coast Building Officials, Conference,,,
<br />be and the s~e is hereby' adopted as the building code of the Town of
<br />Pleasanton for the regulation of the erection, construction, enlargement,
<br />alteration, repair, moving, removal, demolition, conversion, occupancy,
<br />equipment, use, height, area and maintenance of all buildings and/or
<br />structures in the Town of Pleasanton; providing for the issuance of
<br />pemits and the collection of fees therefor; providing penalties for
<br />the violation of such building code; declaring and establishing fire
<br />zones; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, con-
<br />ditions and tems of such ~'Uniform Building Code, 1940 Edition, published
<br />1.,iay 1, 1940, by Pacific Coast Building Officials, Conference," on file in
<br />the office of the To~m Clerk are hereby referred to, adopted and made
<br />a part hereof as if fully set out in this Ordinance, excepting that
<br />Chapter A8 as appears on pages 281 to 289 in the appendix of said 1940
<br />Edition of the Unifom Building Code, be not so adopted by this Ordinance.

<br /> SECTION 2: Ordinance No. 142 and Ordinance No. 143 of the Town
<br />of Pleasanton and all ordinances ~endatory or supplemental thereto, and
<br />all other ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict herewith, are
<br />hereby repealed.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 3: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
<br />thirty (30) days from and after its final passage.
<br />
<br /> SECTION 4: This ordinance shall be published once in TPE
<br />P~j~S:~i~f0N TII~ES, a newspaper of general circulation published in the
<br />
<br />Town of Pleasanton, which newspaper is hereby designated for that purpose.
