Enhancement of the Del Valle Bridge in accordance with the <br />general concepts shown on the consultant's drawings with the <br />details to be resolved later. <br /> <br />22. Refurbishment of the front yard of the museum to create a <br />seat wall with fountains and modified front entry, while <br />retaining the lawn, in accordance with the general concepts <br />shown on the consultant's drawings, with details to be <br />resolved later. <br /> <br />23. MOdification of the support posts of the Pleasanton Sign to <br />serve as kiosks while retaining the rest of the existing <br />sign. Tbe kiosks would accommodate banners, which would. <br />then not be hung across Main Street. <br /> <br />24. Enhancement of the Main Street/Bernal Avenue entrance with:a <br />kiosk structure featuring a Pleasanton sign, fencing, and <br />street lighting around the edge of civic Park, in accordance <br />with the general concepts shown on the consultant's <br />drawings, with details to be resolved later. <br /> <br />25. Conduct a technical lighting study to determine the prope~ <br />spacing and height of the light standards. <br /> <br />26. The existing street lights on Main street shall be retained, <br />upgraded to 100 watts, repainted, and refurbished. <br /> <br />27. Consider design details benches, drinking fountains, trash <br />containers, newspaper racks, and other amenities after <br />adoption of the Plan. <br /> <br />28. Retain wooden sidewalks and encourage new ones where <br />appropriate. <br /> <br />Recreation <br /> <br />29. Incorporate the Arroyo Trail System into Downtown by using <br />Vervais Park as a staging area. <br /> <br />30. The city should work in cooperation with the Lions Club to <br />retain and enhance the Wayside Park Bandstand. <br /> <br />31.
