<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-92-87 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE DRAFT DOWNTOWN <br />REVITALIZATION PLAN <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Downtown Specific Plan was adopted by the City <br />council in February 1989; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council appointed the Downtown Task Force in <br />April of 1991 for the purpose of prioritizing some of the <br />recommendations of the specific Plan and taking the next <br />step for implementation of a program to improve the <br />Downtown; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Task Force reviewed the Specific Plan and subsequent <br />plans and documents, conducted a study in order to make <br />recommendations for improving Downtown, and prepared the <br />Draft Downtown Revitalization Plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of October 14, 1992, <br />the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the Downtown <br />Revitalization Plan is comprehensive in its review of the <br />issues and presents a successful, attractive Downtown <br />that retains its historic flavor. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section <br /> <br />1. Recommends approval of the Draft Downtown <br />Revitalization Plan subject to the conditions of <br />"Exhibit A," attached hereto and made a part of this case <br />by reference, with the following recommendations for <br />modification: <br /> <br />1. Amend Condition 6 to pursue the possibility of two- <br />way traffic on Division Street during the months of <br />June and a portion of July. <br /> <br />2. <br /> <br />Condition 22, in regard to <br />amenities to the museum yard, <br />further review. <br /> <br />the design of the <br />shall be subject to <br /> <br />3. <br /> <br />Amend Condition 28 allowing the <br />sidewalks, but not to encourage <br />more wooden sidewalks. <br /> <br />retention of wooden <br />the construction of <br /> <br />II . , . .
