2. serving alcoholic beverages at the Santa Rita Square center till 12: 00 midnight is compatible with previously developed properties in the vicinity of the site: Alcoholic beverage service till l2:00 mid~ight would only be allowed with food service ~n a restaurant located within a freestanding building. In addition no dancing or live music would be allowed within the restaurant lounge. Therefore, the potential nuisances of noise, loitering, etc., would be avoided. Single family properties adjoining the Santa Rita square shopping center would be separated from the freestanding buildings by distance, the existing shops buildings in Santa Rita Square, and a masonry wall located on the shopping center/residential property line. WHEREAS, The Planning commission determined that the modification to the approved planned unit development is appropriate. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: section 1. Recommends approval of Case PUD-86-18-3M, the application of Cardoza Properties for approval of a major modification to an approved planned unit development to modify the condition of approval to allow freestanding restaurants serving alcoholic beverages after 10:00 p.m. (classified as a "bar") as conditional uses in the Santa Rita Square commercial center located at 3150, 3160, 3170, and 3180 Santa Rita Road, subject to the conditions shown on Exhibit "A," attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption.
