CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 05-026 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE FILING OF CLAIMS WITH THE <br /> METROPOLITAN TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION FOR ALLOCATION OF <br /> TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS, AND WITH THE ALAMEDA <br /> COUNTY TRANSPORTATION IMPROVEMENT AUTHORITY FOR MEASURE B <br /> FUNDS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2005/06 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Transportation Development Act (TDA), as amended, (Public Utilities Code <br /> Section 99200, et. seq.), provides for the disbursement of funds from the Local <br /> Transportation Fund of the County of Alameda for use by eligible claimants for <br /> the purpose of community transit services to local residents; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the TDA, as amended, and pursuant to the applicable <br /> rules and regulations hereunder (21 California Administrative Code, Sections <br /> 6600, et. seq.), a prospective claimant wishing to receive an allocation from the <br /> Local Transportation Fund shall file its claim with the Metropolitan Transportation <br /> Commission (MTC); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Alameda County Measure B provides for the distribution of funds from local <br /> dedicated sales tax to provide special transportation for seniors and persons with <br /> disabilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Measure B, a prospective claimant wishing to receive <br /> an allocation from Alameda County shall file its claim with the Alameda County <br /> Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the claims propose to continue a current program utilizing existing equipment, <br /> manpower, and routes, and proposes minor additional services and is, therefore, <br /> considered exempt from the requirements of the California Environment Quality <br /> Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, TDA funds from the Local Transportation Fund of Alameda County and Measure <br /> B funds will be required by the Pleasanton Paratransit Service in Fiscal Year <br /> 2005/06 for community transit services. <br /> <br /> <br />
