Resolution No. 05-021 <br />Page 2 of 2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the parties desire to memorialize in greater detail how the City and the Veterans <br /> will jointly use the Veterans Memorial Building to augment but not rescind the <br /> City's prior resolutions related to the Veterans Memorial Building; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9968 no longer uses the Veterans' Memorial <br /> Building nor is active in Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, representatives of the various Veterans' organizations have participated in the <br /> drafting of the Joint Use Agreement and were notified of the City Council's <br /> proposed action; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council approves and authorizes the City Manager to execute the Joint <br /> Use Agreement for the Veterans Memorial Building at 301 Main Street with the <br /> American Legion Post 237, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6298, Veterans of <br /> Foreign Wars Post 6298 Ladies' Auxiliary, collectively known as the "Veterans <br /> Organizations of Pleasanton (VOP)." <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND REGULARLY <br />ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT A MEETING <br />HELD ON APRIL 19, 2005 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovern, Sullivan and Mayor Hosterman <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> B/awn G.
