Section 19. On or before the first ~.,Ionday of October of each <br />year the ~ssessment Roll shall be delivered to the Tax Collector <br />of the Town, who shall, within ten days after such delivery, commence <br />publication in a newspaper of general circulation printed and pub- <br />lished in said Town, a notice specifying: That the taxes on all <br />personal property secured by real property, and one-half of the <br />taxes on all real property, will be due and payable on the third <br />~ionday in October and will be delinquent on the fifth day of December <br />next thereafter at six o'clock P.N., and that ~Unless paid prior there- <br />to, 8% will be added to the amount thereof, and that if the said <br />one-half be not paid before the 20th day of ~kpril next at six o'clock <br />P.~I., an additional 3% will be added thereto; that the remaining <br />one-half of the taxes on all real property will be payable on and <br />after the secon~ Monday in January ne~t, and will be delinquent on <br />the BOth day of April next thereafter, at six o'clock P.~I., and <br />that unless paid prior thereto, 3% will be added to the amount <br />thereof; that all taxes may be paid at the time of the first install- <br />ment herein provided for is due and payable; the times and places <br />at which payment of taxes may be made. Said notice must be published <br />for two weeks in some newspaper of general circulation printed and <br />published in said Town, if there is one, or if there is not, then by <br />posting it in three public places in said Town for a period of two <br />weeks. <br /> <br />Section ~0. Upon receiving the Assessment Roll, the Tax Collector <br />shall be charged by the Clerk with the full amount of the taxes <br />levied. <br />section ~l. The Tax Collector shall give a receipt to the person <br />paying any tax or any part of any tax, specifying the amount of the <br />assessment and the tax, or part of the tax, paid, and the amount <br />remaining unpaid, if any. with a description of the property assessed; <br /> <br /> -9- <br /> <br /> <br />
