power to hear complaints, and to correct, modify, or strike out any <br />assessment, upon notice to the party whose assessment is to be <br />raised. The corrected list for each tax shall be the Assessment <br /> <br />Roll for said tax for said year. It shall be certified by the <br /> <br />Clerk of the Town, who shall act as Clerk of the Board of Equalization, <br />as being the Assessment Roll for said tax, and shall be the Assessment <br />Roll upon which such tax is to be levied in said year. The pro- <br />ceedings of the Board of Equalization shall be governed by the <br />provisions of Article I of Chapter IV of Title IX of Part III of <br />the Political Code of the State of California, insofar as the said <br />provisions are applicable and not inconsistent with the provisions <br />of this Ordinance. <br /> <br />Section 15. The Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton shall be <br />officio the Clerk of the Board of Equalization, and, as such, he <br />shall keep a full, true record of all of the proceedings of the <br /> <br />Board of Equalization in a book marked, "Records of the Board of <br />Equalization," and in the said book he shall record all changes, <br />corrections and orders made by the said Board; and during the <br />sessions of the said Board, or as soon as possible after its <br />adjournment, he shall enter upon the assessment list all changes <br />and corrections made by the Board, and, having completed the <br />corrections in the assessment list, he must take and subscribe an <br />oath to be attached thereto and to be substantially in the following <br />form: <br /> <br /> "I, , Clerk of the Town of Pleasanton and <br /> 1 <br /> Ex-offici8 'C erk~'0f the ~oard of Equalization of said <br /> Town, do swear that as such Clerk of the Board of Equal- <br /> ization, I have kept correct minutes of all the acts of the <br /> Board of Equalization touching alterations in the assess- <br /> ment list; that all alterations agreed to or directed to <br /> be made have been made and entered in the aaid assessment <br /> list, and that no changes or alterations have been made <br /> therein, except those authorized." <br /> <br /> <br />
