PC-93-35 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-93-3, THE <br />APPLICATION OJ' THE CITY OJ' PLEASARTON TO AMEND CHAPTERS 18.84, <br />18.112, AND OTHER ASSOCIATED REFERENCES OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASARTON MUNICIPAL CODB CONCERNING HBIGHT LIMITS FOR <br />TELECOMMUNICATIONS FACILITIES AND DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS FOR <br />SATELLITE EARTH STATIONS <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to amend Chapter <br />18.84, 18.112, and other associated references of the <br />City of Pleasanton Municipal Code concerning height <br />limits for telecommunications facilities and development <br />standards for satellite earth stations; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of June 23, 1993, <br />the Planning commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the City staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the proposed <br />ordinance would provide a reasonable way for the City to <br />review telecommunication towers at heights necessary for <br />a specific application while ensuring that visual impacts <br />are mitigated. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASARTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-93-3, the application of <br />the City of Pleasanton to amend Chapter 18.84, 18.112, <br />and other associated references of the city of Pleasanton <br />Municipal Code concerning height limits for <br />telecommunications facilities and development standards <br />for satellite earth stations, as shown on Exhibit "A," <br />attached hereto and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />- <br />
