Resolution No. PC-93-17
Page 2

The proposed horse stable and boarding facility is
consistent with the uses on surrounding, large
rural parcels in the area. There is a need for
this type of facility in the Pleasanton-Livermore
at present, and there is likely to be an increased
need in the future as adjacent properties develop
and as horse trail systems in the area expand. The
conditions of approval would ensure that all
pertinent concerns relative to public health and
safety would be met and that the requirements of
other agencies would be complied with. The city
would have the ability to review the use if any
problems emerge once the facility is in operation.

C. That the proposed conditional use will comply with
each of the applicable provisions of the zoning
ordinance.

As conditioned, the proposed use would comply with
each of the pertinent provisions of the Municipal
Code Chapter 18.124 governing conditional uses.

WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the
requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA); and

WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed
conditional use, as conditioned, is appropriate for the
site.

NOW, THERErORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:

Section 1. Approves Case UP-93-8, the application of Paul Fagliano
for a conditional use permit to operate a horse stable
and boarding facility on an existing 5.5 acre rural
parcel located at 1364 Vineyard Avenue, subject to the
conditions shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and made
part of this case by reference.

Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after
its.passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that
time.

- , .
