<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-92-36 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF CASE RZ-92-1, THE <br />APPLICATION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO AMEND SECTION 18.74 <br />OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the city of Pleasanton has applied to amend the Downtown <br />Revitalization District Ordinance, Section 18.74 of the <br />Municipal Code (1) to allow the retention of certain <br />nonconforming historic signs, and (2) to allow directly <br />illuminated projecting signs on Main street; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed pUblic hearing of May 13, 1992, the <br />Planning Commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits and recommendations of the city staff <br />concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends approval of Case RZ-92-1, the application of <br />the City of Pleasanton to amend the Downtown <br />Revitalization District ordinance, Section 18.74 of the <br />Municipal Code (1) to allow the retention of certain <br />nonconforming historic signs, and (2) to allow directly <br />illuminated projecting signs on Main Street as shown on <br />Exhibit "A" attached hereto and made part of this case by <br />reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED ON THE 13TH DAY OF MAY 1992 BY THE <br />FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br /> <br />Commissioners Horan, Hovingh, MCGuirk, Michelotti, and <br />Chairman Mahern <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />DATE: <br /> <br />May 13, 1992 <br />
