<br />PLANNXNG COMHXSSION CXTY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALXFORNXA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-92-30 <br /> <br />RESOLUTXON RECOMHENDXNG DENXAL OF THE APPLXCATXON OF <br />MARSH/SMITH ASSOCIATES FOR GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT AND <br />DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL AS FXLED UNDER CASE GP-91-3/PUD-91-3 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Marsh/Smith Associates has applied to amend the existing <br />General and Limited Industrial and Public Health and <br />Safety General Plan designations to the Residential <br />Medium Density (2 to 8 dwelling units per net acre) <br />General Plan designation; change the existing Industrial <br />Park (I-P) zoning designation to the Planned unit <br />Development (PUD) - Medium Density Residential (MDR) <br />zoning designation; and development plan approval for the <br />construction of 52 residential dwelling units (6-12,000 <br />sq. ft. minimum lots and 46-6,500 sq. ft. minimum lots) <br />on a 18.6 acre site located at the southeast corner of <br />the Sunol Boulevard intersection with Interstate Highway <br />680; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of March 25, 1992, the <br />Planning commission considered all public testimony, <br />relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the city staff <br />concerning this proposal; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission determined that the proposed <br />development plan was not appropriate for the site and, <br />thus, could not support the General Plan Amendment. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNXNG COMHXSSXON OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWXNG: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recommends denial of the application of Marsh/Smith <br />Associates to amend the existing General and Limited <br />Industrial and Public Health and Safety General Plan <br />designations to the Residential Medium Density (2 to 8 <br />dwelling units per net acre) General Plan designation; <br />change the existing Industrial Park (I-P) zoning <br />designation to the Planned Unit Development (PUD) <br />Medium Density Residential (MDR) zoning designation; and <br />development plan approval for the construction of 52 <br />residential dwelling units (6-12,000 sq. ft. minimum lots <br />and 46-6,500 sq. ft. minimum lots) on a 18.6 acre site <br />located at the southeast corner of the Sunol Boulevard <br />intersection with Interstate Highway 680. <br /> <br />Section 2. Recommends that the developer redesign the project. <br /> <br />section 2. This resolution shall become effective immediately upon <br />its passage and adoption. <br />
