<br />53. (MM 9.A.3) Subsurface and surface drainage water should be <br />controlled so that landslide instigation, initiation or <br />reactivation will be minimized. All storm drainage should be in <br />closed conduits. Concrete ditches with catch basins should be <br />used frequently to catch surface water. A subdrain system <br />should be installed to intercept subsurface water flow. <br />Sediment basins should be installed to remove soils carried in <br />storm water run-off. <br /> <br />54. (MM 9.A.4) The project geotechnical engineer and/or certified <br />engineer~ng geologist should provide detailed recommendations <br />for the setback of structures from cut slopes, fill slopes, <br />natural slopes and buttresses. <br /> <br />55. (MM 9.A.5) The project civil engineer should ensure that all <br />recommendations of the geotechnical engineer and/or certified <br />engineering geologist are reflected in the grading and drainage <br />plans and implemented by the developer. <br /> <br />56. (MM 9.A.6) Lot grading should be performed as part of the <br />overall subdivision grading recommended by the geotechnical and <br />civil engineers... Modifications by builders or homeowners <br />should not be permitted. <br /> <br />57. (MM 9.A.7) Prior to final map approval, an on-going geologic <br />mitigation strategy such as a Geologic Hazards Abatement <br />District (GHAD) should be considered for adoption, in addition <br />to project conditions designed to mitigate geologic hazards. <br /> <br />58. (MM 9. A. 8) The" stock ponds" must be removed or graded to a <br />natural surface so that rainfall is not allowed to pond. <br /> <br />59. (MM 9.A.9) Due to the clayey nature of in-situ soils, grading <br />should be performed during the dry months of the year to <br />minimize potential compaction and erosion problems. <br /> <br />60. (MM 9.A.lO) Areas possessing soil creep characteristics should <br />be over-excavated and the soil replaced and compacted with <br />engineered fill. <br /> <br />61. )MM 9.A.ll) Filling of hillside lots along the northern <br />property line should be kept to a minimum and not extend within <br />50 feet of the northern site boundary. <br /> <br />62. (MM 9.B.l) A final storm drain plan shall be provided to the <br />City Engineer for his review and approval prior to the tentative <br />map approval. <br /> <br />63. (MM 9.B.2) An on- and off-site hydrology and hydraulics study <br />should be performed by a qualified civil engineer. Use standard <br />engineering techniques to resolve deficiency of existing storm <br />drain systems, if any. <br />
