Additionally, massage practitioners <br />must register their business with the Pleasanton <br />Police Department. This additional review process <br />helps to identify any potentially significant <br />issues related to the health, safety, or welfare of <br />the general public. The conditions of project <br />approval will ensure that the establishment of this <br />business remain within the standards of all <br />applicable City codes. <br /> <br />C. The proposed conditional use will comply with each <br />of the applicable provisions of this chapter. <br /> <br />The site's PUD zoning conditionally permits the <br />establishment of massage facilities. The proposed <br />use complies with all relevant sections of the <br />zoning ordinance. Granting a conditional use <br />permit to Karen Aguayo to operate a therapeutic <br />massage facility is consistent with the City's <br />ability to regulate zoning as listed in Municipal <br />Code Section 18.124 "Conditional Uses." <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed <br />conditional use, as conditioned, is appropriate for the <br />site. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. Approves Case UP-95-63, the application of Karen E. <br />Aguayo (d.b.a. Pleasanton Therapy Center) for a <br />conditional use permit for a massage facility located at <br />1811 Santa Rita Road, Suite 108, subject to the <br />conditions shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and made <br />part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />Section 2. This resolution shall become effective 15 days after <br />its passage and adoption unless appealed prior to that <br />time. <br />
