THE CITY COUNCIL OF THeE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />COUN?f OF ALAmeDA, STATE OF CALiFO?>[IA <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 277 <br /> <br />An Ordinance Amending the Uniform Building <br />Code, 1955 Edition, adopted by 0rdinance #249, <br />Regulating Permits Where Lot is Located With- <br />out Access to a Public Street or Way. <br /> <br /> The City Coumcil does hereby ordaim as follows: <br /> <br /> Sectiom 1 - Sectiom 593.5 of The Uniform Buildimg Code, 1955 editiom~ as <br />adopted by 0rd~mnce #249, is hereby amended as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 503.5: Location oa Property, General: Buildings sh~ll be <br /> located on a lot so as to front and have principal access upom a <br /> public street, space or yard. Required yards shall be permanently <br /> maiRtained. For the purposes of this sectiou, the center line of <br /> an adjoimiag public street or alley shall he considered an adjacent <br /> property line. <br /> <br /> Provided however that the above requirements for frontage a~ access <br />shall not apply w~ere all the following comditions are met: <br /> <br /> l) The applicant seeks a building permit to improve a~ existi~ <br /> <br /> a:~ occupied dwelling. <br /> <br /> 2) Said dw~llir~ is om a ].ut of record on the date this amen~aent <br /> becomes effective. <br /> <br /> S) Said dwellim~ is com~ected with and served by City w~ter and <br /> sewage facilities. <br /> <br /> The next section of this code is Section 504 (b). <br /> <br /> Section 2.
