<br />Resolution No. PC-95-27 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />The proposed bar and dance club will be contained <br />completelY on-site. sufficient parking, traffic <br />capacity, and distance from residential neighbor- <br />hoods have been provided. Although the business <br />will be open during the day, the most extensive use <br />will occur during the evening. The business is <br />located in an area where evening uses would not <br />create a nuisance for adj oining areas. streets <br />leading to the site are per city standards and are <br />signalized to provide safe access into and out of <br />the site. The parking lot is well-lit and the <br />applicants will employ security personnel to ensure <br />appropriate behavior of its patrons both within and <br />outside of the facility. The conditions of <br />approval, the applicant's design of the tenant <br />space, and the proposed operation of the use will <br />ensure that the establishment remains within the <br />standards of all applicable city codes. <br /> <br />C. The proposed conditional use will comply with each <br />of the applicable provisions of this chapter. <br /> <br />The site's PUD zoning permits the establishment of <br />dance clubs and bars, as defined by Municipal Code <br />section 18.44.090 "permitted and conditional Uses <br />in the C District." The proposed dance club <br />complies with all relevant sections of the zoning <br />ordinance. Granting a conditional use permit to <br />the applicants for the bar (serving alcohol after <br />10:00 PM) and the dance club is consistent with the <br />city'S ability to regulate zoning as listed in <br />Municipal Code section 18.124 "Conditional Uses". <br /> <br />WHEREAS, projects of this nature are categorically exempt from the <br />requirements of the California Environmental Quality Act <br />(CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning commission finds that the proposed use, as <br />conditioned, would be compatible with the surrounding <br />uses and properties. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />section 1. Approves Case UP-95-20, the application of Tommy Thomas <br />and Philip Cardiasmenos (Cadillac Ranch) for a <br />conditional use permit to establish a dance club and <br />sports bar serving alcohol after 10:00 p.m., located at <br />4555 Hopyard Road, suite C-19, subject to the conditions <br />shown on Exhibit "B" attached hereto and made part of <br />this case by reference. <br /> <br />. <br />
