CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 272 <br /> <br /> Amending Ordinance #245, Licensing <br /> businesses, trades, professions, calllugs <br /> and occupations in the City of Pleasanton <br /> for the purpose of raising mamicipal <br /> revenue. <br /> <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br /> <br /> FOLLOI¢S: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Ordinance #268 is hereby repealed in full. <br /> <br /> Section 2: Section 17.01 of ordinance #245 is amended So rend as follows:! <br /> Section 17.01. Every person engaged in the business of <br /> renting out, placing or servicing within the City of <br /> Pleasanton, any automatic rending machine or coinoperated <br /> phonograph or other musical device, shall pay a license <br /> tax as follows: <br /> <br /> Cigarette machines or machines ve~ing merchandise - $20.00 per year. <br /> All other mchines - $12.00 per mchine per year. <br /> <br /> Section 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance <br />and cause it to be published once in the Pleasanton Times. <br /> <br /> Section 4: This ordinance provides for a tax levy for the usual current <br />expenses of the City and shall take 6ffect immediately, pursuant to Section 1 <br />of Article 4 of the Constitution and Section 36937 e[ the Government Code, <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Pleasanton <br /> <br />held on the 25th day of February. ....... , 1957, by Councilman .Orloff <br /> <br /> <br />
