IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNT/OF ALiMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 271 AN ORDINANCE .~.~]NDING ORDINANCE #9-49, ADOPTING THE UNIFOP~ BUILDING GODE, 1955 EDITION, PROVIDING PERIODS FOR ABI~NDONMENT AND TI~.fi~ L~4ITS FOR C0~-,FPLETION OF BUILDINGS. THE CIT~ COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAINAS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: That Ordinance #249, adopting the Uniform Building Code, 1955 Edition, regulating construction of buildings in the City of Pleasanton, is hereby amended by changing Section 302(d) to read as follows: "Section 302(d), Chapter 3, Part 1: Permits, Expiration. Section 302(d) on pages 26 and 27 is amended to read as follows: Every permit issued by the Building Official under the provisions of this Code shall expire by liehitation and become null and void, if the building or work authorized by such permit is not conmlenced within ninety (90) days from the date of such permit and is not completed within a period of two years from the date of such permit, or if the building or work authorized by such permit is suspended or abandoned at any time after the work is commenced for a period of ninety (90) days. Before such work can be recon. nenced a new permit shall be first ob- tained so to do, and the fee therefor shall be one-half the amount required for a new permit for such work, provided no changes have been made or will be made in the original plans and specifications for such work; and provided, further, that such suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one year." SECTION 2: That this ordinance shall be published in the Pleasanton Times at least once and shall be effective 30 days from final passage. APPROVED .~ND iDOPTED this 25hh day of February ,1957.
