<br />APPROVED <br /> <br />MINUTES <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br /> <br />Pleasanton, California <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CHAMBERS <br />200 Old Bernal Avenue <br />Wednesday, September 13, 1995 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />The Planning Commission meeting of September 13, 1995, was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by <br />Chairman Lutz. <br /> <br />The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> <br />L ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Commissioners Present: <br /> <br />Commissioners Jack Dove, Jack Hovingh, Hal McGuirk, Bob <br />Wright and Chairman Harry Lutz <br /> <br />Commissioners Absent: <br /> <br />Commissioner Debra Barker <br /> <br />Staff Members Present: <br /> <br />Jerry Iserson, Principal Planner; Dennis Beougher, Assistant City <br />Attorney; Roger Higdon, Assistant Director of Public Works; <br />Dolores Bengtson, Director of Parks and Recreation; and Terri <br />Czapinski, Recording Secretary <br /> <br />~ APPROV AL OF MINUTES <br /> <br />The Minutes of the August 23, 1995, meeting were accepted as written. <br /> <br />~ MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS THE <br />PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY ON THE <br />AGENDA <br /> <br />At the end of the regular meeting and with the permission of the Commission, Mr. Eric "Otis" <br />Nostrand was allowed to speak to the Commissioners on a topic not on the agenda. <br /> <br />Eric "Otis" Nostrand, 3015-H Hopyard Rd., is the owner of the Hop Yard Ale House & Grill <br />directly behind the newly-opened skateboard park. He advised the Commission of the activities <br />occurring in the week since the park opened. They include: 1) the posted daylight hours are <br />not being followed, he has observed skateboarders at 2 a.m.; 2) a low percentage of kids wear <br />protective gear; 3) the litter has escalated in the park and his parking lot since the opening; the <br />
