CITY OF PLE/~SY~TON COUNTY OF xU~t~EDA, STATA~ OF CALIFORNIA O~'.~INANCE N0. 268 Amending Ordinance #245, licensing businesses, tradess professionss callings and occupations in the City of Pleasanton for the purpose of raising municipal revenue. THE CITY COUNCIL OF T~ CITY OF P~.~SiNTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION 1: Section 15,O2 of Ordinance #245 is hereby amended to provide that a funeral parlor shall pay a special license tax in the amount of $20,00 per year, SECTION 2: Section 17.01 of Ordinance #245 is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 17.01. Every person engaged in the business of renting out, placing or servicing, within the City of Pleasanton, any automatic rending machine or coin-operated phonograph or other musical device, shall pay a license tax for each machine located within the City of Pleasanton as follows: Cigarette machines and amusement devices - $12.00 All other machines - $5,00 per year, SECTION 3, The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in the Pleasanton Times, SECTION 4. This ordinance provides for a tax levy for the usual current expenses of the City and shall take effect imnediately~ pursuant to Section 1 of Article 4 of the Constitution and Section 3693? of the Government Code.
