<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2004-45 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING PARKS AND RECREATION COMMISSION REVIEW OF THE <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 18.110 (PERSONAL WIRELESS SERVICE FACILITY) OF THE <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has filed an application to amend Chapter 18.110 (Personal <br />Wireless Service Facility) of the Pleasanton Municipal Code regarding the regulation of <br />the placement and design of wireless communication facilities; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of July 14, 2004, the Planning Commission considered <br />all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the City staff concerning <br />the amendment of the Municipal Code; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 14, 2004, the Plarming Commission recommended that the existing <br />park buffer of 300 feet be retained, pursuant to Resolution No. PC-2004-44; and <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Section 2. <br /> <br />Section 3. <br /> <br />Recommends to the City Council that should it decide to reduce the park buffer, the <br />Pleasanton Municipal Code amendment be first referred to the Parks and Recreation <br />Commission for its review and input, with surrounding property owners and residents <br />around the City parks notified. <br /> <br />Directs staff to examine the technical issues of collocation and increase opportunities for <br />collocation whenever possible. <br /> <br />This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br />THIS RESOLUTION ADOPTED BY THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />PLEASANTON ON THE 14TH DAY OF JULY BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Fox, Kameny, Maas, Roberts, and Sullivan. <br />None. <br />Commissioner Arkin. <br />None. <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />;~wkJ <br /> <br />Mary Rob s <br />Chairperson <br /> <br />Q~~'u~ <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />APPROVED AS TO FORM: <br />,,~~LJ'?V?n /,,~- <br />Lynn Tracy Nerlan <br />Assistant City Attorney <br />
