<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2004-42 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF WAL-MART STORES FOR DESIGN <br />REVIEW APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PDR-338 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Wal-Mart Stores has applied for design review approval to construct an <br />approximately 5,264-square-foot stock room addition and an approximately <br />5,761-square-foot garden center expansion to the existing Wal-Mart store located <br />at 4501 Rosewood Drive in the Metro 580 shopping center; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I/C-O (Plarmed Unit Development- <br />Industrial/Commercial- Office) District. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of July 14, 2004, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, an Environmental Impact Report for the Hacienda Business Park was certified by <br />the City Council on June 8, 1982, in conformance with the standards of the <br />California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are no substantial changes to the project or to the circumstances under which <br />the project is undertaken that involve new significant environmental effects or <br />substantially increase the severity of previously identified effects, and there is no <br />new information of substantial importance not known at the time the <br />Environmental Impact Report was adopted regrading the project or its effects, <br />mitigation measures, or alternatives; therefore, no additional environmental <br />documentation was prepared for this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project is consistent with <br />the appearance of the existing buildings in the area. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves Case PDR-338, the application ofWal-Mart Stores for design review <br />approval to construct to construct an approximately 5,264-square-foot stock room <br />addition and an approximately 5,761-square-foot garden center expansion to the <br />existing Wal-Mart store located at 4501 Rosewood Drive in the Metro 580 <br />shopping center, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto <br />and made part of this case by reference. <br /> <br />'" <br /> <br />I , <br /> <br />'I <br />
