IN THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, <br /> COUNTY OF ALAMEDA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO, j !.~ <br /> <br /> An Ordinance Regulating Fire Arms,/F~'.P <br /> Beebee Guns ~.~ _'llit~l_t_, within ~ne <br /> City Limit s · <br /> <br /> The City Council. of the City of Pleasanton does <br />hereby ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1, Discharge of firearms and airguns, <br />No person in the City, except in self defense, shall dischattie <br />or cause or allow the discharge of any rifle, shotgun, pistol, <br />revolver or any other fire arms, or any air~un, beebee ~uns, <br /> <br />gas ~un or any other weapon which emit a projectile as a result <br />of pressure at the breech, unless said person has first <br />obtained per~ntSsion in writing from the Chief of Police· Any <br />firing or discharge shall then be in strict compliance with <br />said written permission. This section does not apply to any <br />duly authorized peace officer in the discharge of his official <br />duties. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Nuisances, destruction of weapons. <br /> <br />Any weapon used in violation of Section 1 of this ordinance <br />is hereby declared to be a nuisance and the same shall be <br />taken from the person violating said Section 1 and surrendered <br />to the Chief of Police of the City of Pleasanton. The Chief of <br />Police shall report the possession of the same to the City <br />Council on June 1st of each year. The City Council may order <br />any of such weapons disposed of as provided for by Section <br />12028 of the Penal Code of the State of California, or may <br />order any such weapons to be sold at public auction by city <br />employees designated, and after such notice as the City Council <br />may direct to be given.
