within the limits of the City of Pleasanton shall procure a <br />license for each such dog over three (3) months of age. <br /> <br /> Section 2.02 PROCUREMENT OF LICENSE TAGS AND <br />CERTIFICATES. The Tax Collector of the City of Pleasanton is <br />hereby authorized and directed to procure each year, prior to <br />the first day of January such number of license certificates <br />and tags as may be sufficient for use durin~ the year, with the <br />year plainly inscribed thereon, Said certificates and ta~s <br />shall be effective until and includin~ the 31st day of December <br />of the ensuir~ year, and no longer, <br /> <br /> Section 2,03 RABIES TREATMENT, As a condition for <br />the issuance of a license all applicants for such license <br />shall procure and del~er to the Tax Collector a certificate <br />issued by a duly licensed Veterinarian certifying that the dog <br />to be licensed has been administered an anti-rabies treatment <br />within thirty (30) days prior to the issuance of said license, <br />Or has received anti-rabies treatment sufficient %o immunize <br />said dog agains~ rabies for the current license period. <br /> <br /> Section 2~0~ ISSUANCE OF TAGS AND CERTIFICATES. <br /> <br />A metallic tag and license certificate with corresponding <br />numbers shall be furnished by the Tax Collector, or those <br />appointed and vested with the powers and duties of Tax <br />Collectors, to any person, firm or organization enumerated in <br />subsection 2.01hereof Upon payment of the appropriate fee. <br /> <br /> Section 2.05 FEES. The annual license fee shall be <br />2.00 for males and shall be $3.00 for females. <br /> The full amount of such license tax shall be payable <br /> <br />for any fraction of such year. <br /> <br /> Section 2.06 DUPLICATE TAGS.
