<br />PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2004-02 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF KOHL'S DEPARTMENT STORE <br />FOR PUD DESIGN REVIEW, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-85-8-7D-2M <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Kohl's Department Store has applied for design review approval to construct an <br />approximately 88,248-square-foot department store with a 7,829-square-foot <br />mezzanine area at 4525 Rosewood Drive; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD-I/C-O (Planned Unit Development- <br />Industrial/Commercial-Office) District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of January 14,2004, the Planning Commission <br />considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and recommendations of the <br />City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, environmental review for the proposed project was undertaken with the <br />Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the Hacienda Business Park certified by <br />the City Council on June 8, 1982; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, there are no substantial changes to the project or to the circumstances under which <br />the project is undertaken that involve new significant environmental effects or <br />substantially increase the severity of previously identified effects, and there is no <br />new information of substantial importance not known at the time the <br />environmental impact report was certified regarding the project or its effects, <br />mitigation measures, or alternatives; therefore, no additional environmental <br />documentation was prepared for this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS the Planning Commission determined that the proposed project would adhere to <br />the requirements of the Hacienda Design Guidelines and would be an attractive <br />and compatible addition to the Metro-580 campus and to Hacienda Business Park <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: <br /> <br />Section 1. <br /> <br />Approves Case PUD-85-8-7D-2M, the application of Kohl's Department Store, <br />for design review approval to construct an approximately 88,248-square-foot <br />department store with a 7,829-square-foot mezzanine area at 4525 Rosewood <br />Drive, subject to the conditions shown in Exhibit "B," attached hereto and made <br />part of this case by reference. <br />
