ORDINANCE NO. <br /> <br /> An Ordinance Amending Sections ~ and 10, <br /> and Adding Sections 6.5 and 11,5, of <br /> Ordinance No. 228, said amendments and <br /> additions Relating to Zoning Restrictions. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS notice calling attention to proposed changes <br />in Zoning Ordinance No. 228 was published February D, 1955. and <br />a public hearing held on the matter on February 14, 1955; and <br /> <br /> ~fHEREAS all p~rsons concerned who appeared were heard <br />and their views considered: <br /> <br /> N0~', THEREFORE, THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> <br />PLEASANTON DOES ORDAIN AS FOLL0WSX <br /> <br /> Section 1, Section A~ of Ordinance No. 228 is hereby <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 4: In the residential zone, buildings. structures <br /> or premises thereon shall not be used for purpose or purposes <br /> except (a) single and multiple family dwellings, bungalow <br /> courts, flats, apartment houses, boarding houses, mortuaries <br /> public buildings, churches. schools, public playgrounds and <br /> parks, the office of a member of a recognized profession which <br /> is licensed and regulated by state law, who is living on the <br /> premises, customary home occupations hereby limited to dress- <br /> making, sewing, millinery, hairdressing, manicuring, laundry, <br /> preserving and home-cooking, provided that such home <br /> occupations shall be conducted. solely by home occupants in <br /> the main building on the premises, and not more than one half <br /> the area of one floor shall be used for such purpose, and that <br /> no display 'of products shall be visible from the street, Not <br /> more than one sign shall be permitted on any one lot in the <br /> residential zone. <br /> <br /> Side yards and rear yards in ~he residential zone shall be Lno% <br /> <br /> <br />
