Section 6. PERMITS: <br /> <br /> (a) Other than as regulated above, there shall be <br />no burning except u'~on issuance of a fire permit by the Chief <br />of the Fire De~artment or his authorized agent, of any open <br />fires, including vac[nt lots, vee(:s, stubble fields, or grass <br />~in(! brush fires. <br /> <br /> (b) Upon ap~lic~tion for a permit, the Fire Chief <br />or his representative shall assure himself that the conditions <br />~re reasonsbly safe for the proposed burning, and that the fire <br />will be properly cc~red for. <br /> <br />(c) A i~ermit for [u~. open fire shall be good only <br />for the day and hours and upon the conditions for ~hich issued. <br /> <br /> (d ) Tl~e Fire Chief of the CITY~ of Pleasanton shall <br />h~ve, a~d is hereby given, i~ower ~d authority to nm/~e <br />reasonable inspections and to promulgate reasonable rules and <br /> <br />regulations in coru~ection with issuin~ speci~.l permits, <br />(e) Permits shall not be required for fires in <br />barbecue pits, braziers and ~ortable patio equipment, <br /> <br /> Section 7, FIRE HAZARDS: <br /> <br /> (a) Whe*e the Fire Chief has determined th~v,.t an <br />unin~proved lot constitutes a fire hazard, he s]~3.1 notify the <br />o~,ner thereof, requesting the owner to burn said lot, <br /> <br /> (b) Uf~on failure of the o~er to comply, the Fire <br />Chief shall instruct the Su.~erinten~ent of Streets to burn such <br />lot. <br /> <br /> (c) The Su]_-.erintendent of Streets shall ch~'.rge the <br />o~'ner for t]T~e cost of burning such lot. <br /> <br /> Section ~.
