and shall be kept in a sanitary condition by the owners thereof. Receptacles shall be equipped with covets to prevent access of flies to the contents thereof. Section 3-03: Garbage placed in said receptacles shall be wrapped in paper before being placed in receptacles. Section 3,04: A limited amount of refuse other than G'arba~e shall be picked up from each residential unit by the refuse collector free of charge. Such refuse shall be kept in a receptacle measuring not more than 2 feet by 2 feet by ~ feet. Such refuse rece.otacles shall be made of wood or metal, with ~ufficient han~:les. Corrugated paper boxes shall not be Oermitted, Excess refuse over an a~nount contained in said 3 feet by 2 feet by 2 feet receptacles shall be subject to rates provided hereinafter. Section 3.05: No refuse receptacle other than that o~ned by the Town of Pleasa~ton shall be placed or kept in or on ~.ny Dublic street, sidewalk, footpath, or any public place whatsoever, but shall be ~laced on the premises so as to be easily accessable for removing and emptying by refuse collector. Section 3.06: All automobile bodies or other bulky objects shall be broken up by the possessor in a manner satisfactory to the City A6~-,~inistrator or Director of Public Works, before being put out for collection. Section 3-07: It shall be unlawful for any ~)erson to ~lace or cause to be placed in any refuse receptacle owned by the Town of Pleasanton and located upon public streets or in public pl~.ces, any refuse origin~ting ~ithin or upon any private property Ln the Town of Pleasanton. Section X~.00. COLLECTION OF REFUSE. Section ~,01: The Director of Public Works may make such regul~tiens concerning the number and manner of collections of refuse as he may deem necessary to carry out the provisions of this ordinance, but in no case shall collection services less ~han once a reek be pern:itted. Section ~,.0~: The time of collection shall be between the hours of ~:00 o~clock A. ~. and 6:00 o~clock P. ~.~. in the residential district; and between 4:00 o~clock A. M. and 9:00 c~c!ock A. M. in all other districts. Section 5.00. RE~'0VAL OF REFUSE. Section 5.01: Refuse collected in the Town of P!eas~nton s~all be hauled in all-steel, water-tight hod led nI~otor trucks, and taken to the dump in such a manner as not to be offensive or filthy to any person, place, building or highway. The truck bodies shall be constructed of sufficient stren~-th to withstand fire within, without endangering c~djacent pro~:~erty. Said bodies shall be washed at leas~-once a week, ~;nd painted once each year, and otherwise appear as neat as ~)ossible under the circumstances. All refuse in the truck shall be co~ipletely covered by a tarpaulin or suitable covering ~,~-hen hauling refuse bet~,-een points of collection and place of disposal ·
