ORDINANCE NO. 232 A jELINQUENCY PREVenTiON ORDINANCE REGULATING THE PRES~iNCE OF MINORS UNDer · THE AGE OF EIGHTEF~' YEARS IN PUBLIC STREETS AND OTHER PLACES BETWEEN CErTAiN HOURS: DEFININ~ THE DUTI~ OF PARENTS AND OTHERS iN ~ARE OF MINORS, aND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR VIOLATION THF~LEOF. BE IT ORDAiNED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF PLEASANTON: Section 1) Every person under the age of eighteen years who loiters in or about any public street or other public place or any place open to the public in the Town of Pleasanton, between the hour of 10 o' clock p. m. and the time of Bunrise of the following day when not accompanied by his parent, guardian or other adult person having~ 'bhe legal care, custody or control of such person, or spouse of such person over twenty-one years of age, is guilty of a misdemeanor. Section 2) E~ery parent, guardian, or other person having the legal care, custody or control of any person under the age of eighteen years who permits such person to violate any provision of this ordinance is guilty of a misd~neanor. Section 3) A violation of this ordinance ~or of any provision thereof is punishable by a fine not exceeding Five Hundred Dollars (~500.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding six months or by both such fine and imprison- ment. Section 4) If any provision of this ordinance, or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held to be invalid, the remainder of this ordinance and the application of such provisions to other persons and circumstances shall not be affected thereby. Section 5) All Ordinances and parts of Ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance are hereby repealed. Introduced this 2?th day of May, 1954, at a regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the Town of Pleasanton by Councilman Hansen and read for the first time.
