This is
and should continue to be in the General Plan for the betterment of the community.

Instead of considering what is best for the community it seems a few individuals have gotten side tracked with
concerns over personal issues. The few individuals against the public trail all had access to extensive public
information, reports, etc. before they built or purchased their homes. Instead of thinking up all kinds of excuses
how about expecting them to come forward with their responsibility to the community. Better yet, how about
thinking about the thousands of children's in south Pleasanton that will have a safer passage to schools, parks
and retail stores. Also the neighbors on the north that will have access to the public trail system.

We are appalled that a few can make such an issue over such a well thought out plan by the city of
Pleasanton, for the betterment of the community, just because it offends them. It is time to build the path and
move on !

In regards to the height of the new structure all consideration should be given to the surrounding neighbors to
come up with an agreeable solution. If the building can be kept as Iow as the story poles indicated it appears
ok however t am not clear on what the clarification of what the top of the poles indicates,is that the top of the
roof line?

Thank you and please support and retain the pathway.

Ellen and Bill Olson

3/7/2005
