THE CITY OF <br /> <br />pL£AS&NTON <br /> <br />4G <br /> <br />City Council <br />Staff Report <br /> <br /> March 15, 2005 <br />Parks and Community Services Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: ACCEPTANCE OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS - FOOTHILL ROAD <br /> LANDSCAPE RENOVATION, CIP 017043 <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council take the following actions at its <br /> meeting of March 15, 2005: <br /> <br /> 1. Accept the improvements for the subject project. <br /> <br /> 2. Authorize the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the <br /> subject project. <br /> <br /> 3. Authorize final payment in the amount of $874.80 to the contractor, <br /> American Civil Constructors, Inc. <br /> <br /> 4. Authorize payment of retention in the amount of $23,621.96 to <br /> American Civil Constructors, Inc., 30 days after filing the Notice of <br /> Completion. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: subject project is now complete and ready for <br /> <br />Construction of the <br />acceptance. <br /> <br />Honorable Mayor and Members of the City Council: <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The subject project consisted of the complete renovation of all plantings and irrigation systems <br />in the median islands on Foothill Road between 1-580 and Stoneridge Drive, including the small <br />median islands on Deodar Way and Laurel Creek Way. <br /> <br />SR 05:072 <br />Page 1 <br /> <br /> <br />
