CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEP~SP~NTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 05-009 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION APPROVING THE EXPENDITURE OF CITIZENS' <br /> OPTIONS FOR PUBLIC SAFETY PROGRAM FUNDS AS <br /> RECOMMENDED <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of February 15, 2005, the Chief of Police presented a report (SR <br /> 05:030) describing the recommendations for use of Citizens' Option for Public <br /> Safety (COPS) funds received from the State, as outlined in Section 30061 of the <br /> Government Code and in accordance with AB 1584. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: The City Council hereby approves the recommendations for expenditures of COPS <br /> funds, which are as follows: <br /> Approximate <br /> Allocation <br /> Every 15 Minutes Program $ 3,000 <br /> Volunteers in Policing Services (VIPS) Program 5,000 <br /> Nextel Phones & Hardware 22,100 <br /> Intemet Reporting Software 20,000 <br /> CRIMS Interface Software 10,000 <br /> Lightweight Duty Gear 24,840 <br /> 12 Self-Paced Spanish Courses 960 <br /> Laptop Computer for YCSB/DARE 2,000 <br /> Total Station Survey Equipment 10,100 <br /> Two Digital Cameras for Patrol 2,000 <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
