 CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, ALAMEDA <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 05-007 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SETTLEMENT OF A WORKERS' <br /> COMPENSATION CLAIM <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, there is now pending before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board a case <br /> concerning a retired police officer (Jeff Anadon); and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City Attorney has requested authority from the City Council to settle this claim <br /> in the amount discussed in a confidential memorandum from the City Attorney to <br /> the Council; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, such request is reasonable and justified under the circumstances. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br /> Section 1: The City Attorney is authorized to settle the above-mentioned case in the amount <br /> not to exceed that requested by the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT THE FOREGOING WAS DULY AND REGULARLY <br /> ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON, AT A <br /> MEETING HELD ON FEBRUARY 1, 2005 BY THE FOLLOWING VOTE: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmembers - Brozosky, McGovem, Sullivan, and Mayor Hosterman <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> A'I'I'/~ST: <br /> <br /> "~D~wn G.
