OHOmNA CE NO. <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE REGI3LATING THE SPEED OF RAILROAD <br /> TRAINS IN THE TO~.q~ OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> The Council of the Town of Pleasanton do ordain as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br /> SECTION l: It shall be unlawful on and after the <br />date this ordinance takes effect for any person, firm or corpora- <br />tion to operate or cause to be operated any locomotive, train <br />or railroad cars upon any railroad tracks within the Town of ~ <br />Plessanton at a speed exceeding~~ miles per hour; providing, ~ <br />however, in the event that any railroad company operating trains <br />through the Town of Plessanton which shall protect every public <br />street crossed by the right of way or tracks of such railroad <br />with double flssher type warning signals facing traffic approach- <br />ing said right of way or tracks from both sides of the railroad <br />tracks of s type to be approved by the City Council of the Town <br />of Pleasanton; then, in such event, ~~~trains traveling <br />along said right of way or tracks may travel at a speed not to <br />exceed 50 miles per hour. <br /> <br /> SECTION 2: Any person, firm or corporation violating <br />the provisions of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor <br />and shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding the sum of THREE <br />HUNDRED DOLLARS ($300.00) or by imprisonment not exceeding ninety <br />(90) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. <br /> <br /> SECTION ~: This ordinance shall be published once <br />in "The Pleasanton Times" and shall take effect thirty (~0) <br />days from and after its final passage. <br /> <br /> ---:000:--- <br /> <br /> <br />
