She feels the 12 <br />foot height is sufficient and supports having only one monument sign. She clarified through <br />staff that the area of the sign would be 56.31 square feet, not 39 square feet, as defmed by <br />Code. <br /> <br />Chairman Lutz is having difficulty fmding that this center needs to have a sign variance, and <br />feels that if it is granted it would change the sign practice for the entire town. <br /> <br />Commissioner Barker motioned, seconded by Commissioner Wright, upholding the <br />appeal of the Zoning Administrator's action and disallowing Case V-95-18 and Z-95-217. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE <br /> <br />AYES: <br />NOES: <br />ABSENT: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Commissioners Barker, Hovingh, McGuirk, Wright and Chairman Lutz <br />None <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />Resolution No. PC 96-17 was entered appealing the Zoning Administrator's action and <br />disallowing Case V-95-18 and Z-95-217, as motioned. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright left at 7:50 p.m., and Commissioner Dove took his place in the <br />meeting. <br /> <br />b. UP-95-80/Z-95-255. GTE Mobilnet/Tea Grouo <br />Application for a conditional use permit and design review approval to allow the <br />construction and operation of an unmanned cellular communications facility, including <br />an 85 foot tall monopole and transmission/receiving antenna and a 240 square foot <br />equipment building, located at 3744 Old Santa Rita Road. Zoning for the property is <br />C-S (Service Commercial) District. <br /> <br />Continued to March 27, 1996. <br /> <br />c. Review of the General Plan Uodate Draft Environmental Imoact Reoort <br /> <br />Wayne Rasmussen stated that the purpose of the agenda item was for the Planning <br />Commission and public to make comments on the General Plan Draft EIR. The 45-day <br />review period started on Peb 7th and runs through March 22, 1996. Comments received <br />tonight will be responded to by staff and consultants and become part of the Pinal ElR.
