Citv of Pleasanton <br />Application for rezoning of an approximately 1.02 acre site from C-S (Service <br />Commercial) to PUD (Planned Unit Development) - C-S/O (Service/Office Commercial) <br />or to any other zoning designation deemed in the public interest, located at 65 Ray <br />Street (former Interstate Nuclear Lanndry Services site). The Planning Commission will <br />also consider the Negative Declaration prepared for the project. <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson presented the staff report on the application to rezone a 1. 02 acre parcel at <br />65 Ray Street from Service Commercial (C-S) to Planned Unit Development (PUD) Service <br />Commercial/Office (C-S/O) or any other zoning designation deemed in the public interest. <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson briefly reviewed the history of this parcel and the Interstate Nuclear Services <br />laundry facility. In February, 1995, INS started decommissioning the site to fully clean it <br />and make it ready for sale. This process has taken much longer than first anticipated. In <br />October, 1995, the Planning Commission directed staff to initiate a rezoning of the subject <br />property to make sure that future uses are compatible with the area. <br /> <br />The existing site is located approximately 200 feet west of First Street and is approximately <br />110 feet wide by 410 feet deep. It has an approximately 7,650 sq. ft. single-story metal <br />building, which is slowly being tom down.
