pL£AS&NTON: ci , Council <br /> Staff Report <br /> <br /> February 15, 2005 <br /> Public Works Department <br /> <br />SUBJECT: RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN <br /> A LETTER OF INTENT TO CONTRIBUTE LOCAL FUNDS FOR <br /> A TRI-VALLEY TRIANGLE TRAFFIC STUDY AND <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SIGN FUTURE <br /> FUNDING AGREEMENTS NOT TO EXCEED $75,000; AND <br /> APPROPRIATION OF $75,000 FROM CH' 025023 (DOUGHERTY <br /> VALLEY MITIGATION RESERVE) FOR THIS STUDY <br /> <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br /> Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action at the <br /> meeting of February 15, 2005: <br /> <br /> 1) Adopt a resolution authorizing the City Manager to take the <br /> following actions: <br /> <br /> a) Sign a letter of intent to the Alameda County Congestion <br /> Management Agency to contribute funding up to a maximum of <br /> $75,000 for the Tri-Valley Triangle Traffic Study. <br /> <br /> b) Sign all future funding agreements for this study not to exceed <br /> $75,000. <br /> <br /> 2) Appropriate $75,000 from CIP 025023 (Dougherty Valley <br /> Mitigation Reserve) for this study. <br /> <br />SUMMARY: The Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (CMA) has <br /> approved a $400,000 budget to study sequencing options for <br /> improvements to regional projects impacting the 1-580, 1-680, and <br /> Route 84 corridors. Additional funding, ranging from $70,000 to <br /> <br />SR 05:050 <br />Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
