UP-97-86. Stacev Linkhart <br />Application to serve beer and wine after 10:00 p.m. for Stacey's Restaurant to be located <br />at 310 Main Street, Suite A. Zoning for the property is C-C (Central Commercial) District, <br />Downtown Revitalization District. <br /> <br />Mr. Iserson presented the staff report and cited the history of the application. He described the <br />proposed site and building improvements to include decorative wood trellises along the Main <br />Street elevation, new lighting, new signs, new parking lot landscaping, new planters, brick <br />paving, outdoor retaining walls along the front and side of the restaurant, new exterior paint and <br />construction of a florist kiosk. <br /> <br />Ms. Iserson stated that staff feels the proposed use permit is compatible with the surrounding <br />businesses and recommends approval, subject to the conditions noted in the staff report. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright asked whether the proposed stucco wall would be similar to the existing <br />wall. Mr. Iserson responded that it would be similar in height, although it would be a different <br />wall and will be integrated in the design and color of the building. He further noted that the <br />wall would sit exclusively on the private property of the business. <br /> <br />Commissioner Barker expressed concern for handicapped access. A discussion ensued <br />describing the handicapped access and other accommodations. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS OPENED <br /> <br />Stacey Linkhart, 2383 Hagen Oaks Drive, Alamo, represented the application and stated that she <br />agreed and was happy with staff's conditions of approval. <br /> <br />In response to a question by Commissioner Barker, the applicant stated that a cook would be on <br />duty until closing. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING WAS CLOSED <br /> <br />The Commission agreed that the hours for serving alcohol were not extensive, and they all <br />supported the application. <br /> <br />Planning Commission Minutes <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />November 19, 1997 <br />
