Resolution 05~004 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, local government agencies within the jurisdiction of the BAAQMD are eligible to <br /> receive these funds on behalf of the SMCV fleets that they own or that they hold <br /> under contract to perform curbside garbage collection; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City of Pleasanton to partner with Pleasanton Garbage Service <br /> to participate in the SWCV Program; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Nelson Fialho, City Manager, is authorized to submit an application for <br /> Pleasanton Garbage Service, to execute a funding agreement with BAAQMD for <br /> the purposes described above is said application is approved by the BAAQMD. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1. The City of Pleasanton encourages SWCV fleets under contract to the City to reduce <br />emissions beyond the requirements of the rule; and <br /> <br />Section 2. The City of Pleasanton will apply to the BAAQMD for funding in response to the <br />opportunity provided; and <br /> <br />Section 3. The City of Pleasanton will agree to enter into a contract with the BAAQMD to <br />allow for expenses incurred by Pleasanton Garbage Service to be reimbursed by the BAAWMD <br />to the City; and <br /> <br />Section 4. The City of Pleasanton will agree to enter into a contract with Pleasanton Garbage <br />Service in order to allow for expenses incurred to be reimbursed by the City to Pleasanton <br />Garbage Service. <br /> <br /> Section 5. The City of Pleasanton will authorize Mr. Nelson Fialho, City Manager, to submit an <br /> application and execute a funding agreement with BAAQMD for the purposes described above <br /> if said application is approved by the BAAQMD. <br /> <br /> <br />
