CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 05-002 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION MAKING APPOINTMENTS TO THE TRI-VALLEY <br /> HIGHWAY PLANNING STUDY POLICY OVERSIGHT COMMITTEE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Alameda County Congestion Management Agency (CMA), in partnership with <br /> the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority (ACTIA) and <br /> Caltrans, is pursuing a Tri-Valley Highway Planning Study to develop a long and <br /> short range plan for roadway improvements in the 1-580, 1-680 and Route 84 <br /> corridors; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the CMA board has authorized the study and formed a policy oversight committee <br /> composed of the Mayor and one Councilmember from each of the three affected <br /> cities, plus the two county supervisors representing the Livermore Valley; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to CMA's request, the City of Pleasanton must appoint a Councilmember <br /> representative in addition to the Mayor to this Committee; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has considered those interested in serving on this Committee. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Appoints Cindy McGovern as the Councilmember representative (in addition to <br /> the Mayor) to the Tri-Valley Highway Planning Study Policy Oversight <br /> Committee. <br /> <br />Section 2: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
