ARTICLE 15 i GENERAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT Purpose. To encourage sound industrial development by providing and protecting an environment exclusively for such development, subject to re- gulations necessary to insure the purity of the air and waters in the Livermore-Amador Valleys and the protection of nearby residential, commercial and industrial uses of the land from hazards and noise or other disturbances. 15.100 Permitted Uses. 15.101 Any manu~acturing, processing, assembling, laboratory, research, wholesale, or storage uses. 15.102 Railroad yards and freight stations, and trucking and motor freight Stations. 15~103 P~blic utility structures and uses, 15.200 Accessory Uses. 15.201 Signs necessary to any permitted use. 15.202 Incidental services to serve employees, when conducted and entered from within the building of a permitted use. 15.203 Other accessory uses and buildings customary to a permitted use. 15.300 Conditional Uses. 15.301 Public and quasi-public uses necessary to serve the 1-District. 15.302 Retail commercial uses necessary to serve people in the 1-District, 15.400 Height Re~ulati0ns. Within 200 feet of any R District, no structure shall exceed 3 stories or 50 feet in height. No building or structure shall be erected to such a height that it would be detri- mental, in the opinion of the Connnission, to the light, air, or privacy of any other structure or use, existing or reasonably to be anticipated. 15.500. Area. Lot coverage, and Yard Requirements. The minimum lot area shall be that designated on the zoning map.
